Rwanda genocide

I found the Rwanda genocide for my research. Ifound out that more than 800,000 men, women, and children died in this genocide from 1994. There is also more than 20,000 documents, photographs, and some videos of this genocide. I think this was a very terrible and sad thing to hear about. Many survivors feel that it's heartbreaking that some other fellow survivors deny what happened what happened to their families, friends, and their people. This issue makes me wonder about our own future. Would something like the Rwanda genocide and the Holocaust ever happen to any people of a certain race, ethiniticity, or religion here? If so, will we ever be prepared?

Night

After watching the interview, I learned that about 1.5 million people died at Auschwitz alone. A lot of those million were the Jewish. I also learned that the blue and white striped suits that the prisoners wore were never washed. From the Pre-test, I learned that America and everywhere had concentration camps. The pictures of the prisoners was what struck me the most. How they were almost walking skeletons with skin over was very powerful. From this part in history, we can learn to never make the same mistake again. I'm anxious to read Night because to read about a real experience in the Holocaust would give us a better look into the Holocaust. I can't wait to read it. It sounds interesting.

favroite books

I love to read a lot. Some days I wish I could live in a library because every book could keep me busy for the rest of my life. I read various genres of books from horror to romance.  I could read just about any type of book that appeals to me. Except usually science fiction.  Right now, I'm reading 4 different books at the same time. I read a little of one book a day then the next I pick up on another. But right now I've been reading Catching Fire. It's a fiction. In the second Hunger Games book, Katniss is scheduled to marry Peeta but she is also called back into the Games against past victors. She and Peeta have to go back into once again survive. But she also thinks about District Thirteen. She, District Twelve, and the other Districts believed that District thirteen was just a wasteland until runaways from district Eight tell Katniss about thinking that people might still be alive in Thirteen.
